YUKI HARAGUCHI, PARTNER focuses his practice primarily on commercial and government contract disputes. Yuki leads the firm’s government procurement bid protest practice. He is also relied upon as an in-house expert on matters of trial evidence admissibility and pleading of causes of action.
Yuki routinely handles complex commercial litigation before the federal government’s administrative law tribunals, the American Arbitration Association, federal courts, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.
Outside of Holmes Pittman & Haraguchi, he is a coach of the Mock Trial Honor Society for the Trial Advocacy Program at American University Washington College of Law. He has also been actively involved in the DC startup community as an advisor to several tech startups and a renewable energy company. Yuki is an entrepreneur himself with experience starting and managing small businesses.
Yuki was born in Hamamatsu, Japan (a coastal city known for its eel) and emigrated to the United States as a child. Growing up in Florida, he has fostered a love for tennis, swimming, and the beach.
As a law student, Yuki served as a student attorney for the Criminal Justice Clinic at the Anne Arundel County State’s Attorney’s Office where he tried criminal cases in front of both bench and jury. He was a Dean's Fellow for the Legal Rhetoric Program, clerked for the Entertainment Software Association, and interned with the non-governmental organization Fundación ProAcceso in Santiago, Chile.
Yuki earned his J.D. at American University Washington College of Law, where he was Editor of the American University Business Law Review and Vice President of the Mock Trial Honor Society. He earned his B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing from the University of Florida.
